Gosausee Running Race

Quite possibly the most scenic lake running race in the world: on May 8, 2026, the Gosausee Running Race covers 4.2 km at almost 1,000 m altitude around the Gosausee at the foot of the Dachstein – technically easy, scenically unbeatable. The main race is run in 2-person relay teams, with an additional unofficial individual ranking for women and men. Younger runners are well catered for too: from 5:30 p.m., children's and junior races start at Bärental and Seeort – 800 m for ages born 2020–2022, 2 km for ages born 2016–2019. A refreshment station along the route is included in the entry fee. The event takes place in all weather conditions.
