Skijöring Gosau

On January 24, 2026, the Gosau Sports Center will be the venue for a special winter sports highlight. From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the traditional skijoring event will take place in Gosau—a spectacular event that combines speed, technique, and precision.

What is skijoring?
Skijoring is a winter sport in which skiers are pulled by horses, sled dogs, or motor vehicles on a rope. In Gosau, the focus is on the motorized version – action-packed and extraordinary.

Particularly convenient for guests of the Vitalhotel Gosau: it's only a few meters from the hotel to the event location, and afterwards you can relax and end the winter day with a drink at the bar or après-ski in the event barn. A real highlight for everyone who not only wants to enjoy winter, but also experience it.
