Alpine Cattle Drive in Gosau

On September 19, Gosau celebrates the golden autumn with its traditional cattle drive. The festively decorated cows will be brought down from the alpine pastures to the valley and are expected to arrive at the Moosalm, at the festival grounds, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Guests can look forward to musical entertainment by the Gosauer Tanzlmusik and traditional Schuhplattler dancing. Regional alpine delicacies such as homemade Holzknechtnocken, traditional crafts, and a shoe market await visitors at the Moosalm. Admission is free—perfect for the whole family. The Moosalm is located just a few minutes from the Vitalhotel.
