Full Moon at Krippenstein

As the sun slowly disappears behind the peaks of the Dachstein and the full moon takes over the evening sky, a remarkable natural spectacle begins at Krippenstein. During the full moon rides, the sounds of the Obertraun Weisenbläser brass ensemble accompany the transition from day to night – an atmospheric programme at 2,100 metres that turns an ordinary evening into something unforgettable.

A night-time walk by moonlight, a stop at the mountain hut and finally the descent by cable car under a star-filled sky – with the lights of Obertraun and Hallstatt twinkling far below in the valley – complete the experience.
